
Dr. Ralston is a national lecturer for physicians and aesthetic providers on lasers and medical/aesthetic technology. He also trains physician assistant (PA) and medical assistant (MA) students in dermatology for various colleges and collaborates with McKinney Independent School District to educate high school students about dermatology.
Dr. Ralston received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his dermatology residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo, New York, where he served as Chief Resident.
He also completed a fellowship in Cutaneous Oncology and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) at the prestigious Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. During his fellowship, he explored advanced technologies to develop less invasive methods for treating skin cancer and precancerous conditions. Dr. Ralston has contributed textbook chapters and articles to medical literature and was awarded Best Clinical Science Report from Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He has also received additional training in skin surgery, including Mohs micrographic surgery.
Dr. Ralston provides the latest treatments for a wide range of dermatological concerns in pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, including skin cancer, eczema, acne and acne scars, wrinkles, age spots, rashes, and psoriasis.
He utilizes advanced treatment options such as PDT, which combines laser or other light with topical medicine to treat skin cancer, acne, sun damage, and other conditions. His professional interests focus on using technology to enhance the art and science of medicine for optimal skin health through preventative and quality care.
Dr. Ralston, his wife, and their three children love living in McKinney. He enjoys music, technology, reading, the arts, and spending time with his family. Dr. Ralston is excited to welcome you to his patient family.
