Skinvive improves cheek smoothness by hydrating skin from within. Unlike typical fillers, it restores a smooth glow to faces instead of enhancing their natural shape.

Preparing for Skinvive
Prior to getting your skin booster in McKinney, Dr. Ralston advises the following to ensure a successful treatment:
- Avoid blood thinners like NSAIDs. Blood thinning medications may increase risk of swelling.
- Avoid consuming alcohol to lower your risk of bruising.
- Stop using retinol, and other similar products, two days before your injections.
Post-Treatment Care
After receiving Skinvive injections patients should adhere to the following recovery measures:
- Don’t massage, poke, or prod at the treatment area.
- Keep your heart rate low and avoid strenuous activity 24 hours post treatment.
- Apply a cold compress to your face, gently, no longer than 15 minutes every hour.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
Before Skinvive, Dr. Ralston consults with patients about their medical history, previous procedures, allergies, and overall skin goals.
During a patient’s first session, they’ll relax while Dr. Ralston administers Skinvive through minimally invasive injections. These are usually spread out in a textured grid throughout your face to maximize results. The entire treatment takes around 15 minutes.
Post-treatment, he provides detailed aftercare instructions and schedules a follow-up visit to monitor each patient’s progress.
Most Skinvive sessions take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. This does not include consultation time.
When our providers inject Skinvive into your skin, a small droplet of hyaluronic acid makes its way into the skin’s topmost layers. This compound draws moisture to it and helps the skin retain optimal hydration.
