Preparing for Sofwave
What to Do:
- Cleanse your treatment area of all lotions, oils, and perfumes.
- Arrive to your scheduled appointment on time.
- Take ibuprofen with food and water to help with anticipated discomfort.
What to Avoid:
- Avoid dermal filler in the areas being treated for at least two weeks prior to treatment.
- Reschedule your appointment for the following conditions: cystic acne, open wounds, and cold sore flare-ups.
Post-Treatment Care
What to Do:
- Drink water to hydrate. Proper hydration boosts the body’s natural healing ability.
- Stretch and lightly massage the treated area to enhance the production of collagen fibers.
- If the skin is broken or a blister appears, please contact our office.
What to Avoid:
- Avoid alcoholic beverages to keep your body well-hydrated.
- Avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen regularly.
Most patients only need a single Sofwave treatment to get the maximum benefit, but everybody’s physiology is different, so talk with your provider to discuss other treatment options and/or multiple Sofwave sessions.
Initial results will appear at least 30 days after your first treatment with Sofwave.
