Enhance Complexion With Intense Pulsed Light

Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment, commonly referred to as “photofacial” treatment, addresses a variety of skin conditions quickly and effectively. As the name suggests, intense and focused pulses of light target pigmentation concerns and blood vessels you want gone.

Customized Treatment

During IPL treatments, light is directed onto the skin. The wavelength of the emitted light can be adjusted to target different tissues. When the light is emitted at just the correct wavelength onto the skin, it heats and destroys target tissues in the treated area. This process is known as photothermolysis.

Leveraging the Best Technology

The Dermatology Center of McKinney is proud to provide patients treatments with the Lumenis M22 Stellar IPL device. As an IPL device, it sends highly controlled pulses of light into the patient’s skin. Laser technicians optimize the intensity of its wavelength for targeting specific areas under the skin to help destroy unwanted dark spots or redness. It can also target pigmentation, broken capillaries, age spots, and other issues that impact the overall appearance of the skin.
